All of my pottery is microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. Only food safe, lead free glazes are used. My glaze combinations are:

nutmeg
cream with green accent
green and cream
blue and cream
green cream and raspberry

All of the pots pictured here are available in any of these glaze combinations (except cream with green accent not available in 1,2,3 quart bakers and handle bowl) If you would like to order pottery send me an email at jennycarteepottery@hotmail.com with the name of the piece and the glaze. About the Potter

I live in the small town of Boiling Springs, N.C. with my husband, Heath. I had my first experience with clay in 2001 at Gardner-Webb University. I signed up for Intro to Ceramics just to fulfill a requirement for my art minor. I started the minor because I liked to draw but thought I would hate working with clay. At the end if the semester, I still wasn’t making anything especially beautiful, but I was hooked. After graduating in 2002, I took a part time job to support myself and spent the rest of my time in the pottery studio. Later, I worked as an assistant at Rising Sun Pottery, a teaching studio in Lincolnton,N.C. There, I helped maintain the studio, taught classes, and practiced my pottery. Now I have my own studio at home in my own backyard! I have been working there about a year and the garage is continuing to fill up with more pots!

I specialize in pottery that is intended to become an integral part of everyday life. All of my pottery is made by hand, mainly on a potter’s wheel. The pieces are made to be strong and durable with thick rims and sturdy handles.
